Droplet — Pair of Floor Vases

Droplet is a set of two slender floor pieces in which a full, teardrop-shaped body narrows into a very fine, elongated neck. The taller form curves softly upward while the shorter stays almost straight, so the pair is never mirrored — instead the two shapes hold a quiet dialogue and create a natural, asymmetric rhythm. The proportions are deliberately exaggerated: the mass gathers low, close to the floor, and everything above rises in a single slim line, which keeps the piece feeling light despite its height. A deep dark-brown tone and a matte, distinctly grained surface absorb light rather than reflect it, building a soft organic character that pairs easily with wood, wool and natural textiles.

Every piece is handmade — shaped, textured and finished entirely by hand, outside of serial production. Variations in the curve of the neck, the density of the texture and the depth of the tone follow naturally from hand-working, so no two Droplets are ever alike. The forms work as freestanding floor sculpture or as vases for dry branches, pampas grass and single feathers. They look best in a corner of a living room, beside a fireplace, in a hallway or next to an armchair. A dry cloth or a soft brush is all the care they need.
